Due for publication this summer: First Elevens, the birth of international football and the men who made it happen. I've been working on this for the past year, and it is a book that sheds new light on how football came to be an international sport in 1872: the full story of the five unofficial matches, how rugby got in on the act, and what Queen's Park did to organise the first game in Glasgow. Also, detailed stories of all the players who took part, some of whom have never been identified before, and many photos never previously published.

Further details coming soon!
